Working in one of the many and varied jobs in the hospitality and catering sector is a demanding but also extremely satisfying occupation. Care & Development Resources placement managers have been providing training programs for the sector's employees for many years and currently offers training for people via the NVQ work-based learning programs. Our NVQ work-based learning programs cover a wide range of vacancies within the sector, for example: chef, kitchen porter, bar person, housekeeper, waiter or receptionist. Qualifications can also be gained in customer service. NVQ programs are open to those people already working in the industry and also to those who are seeking to start a career in the hospitality or catering sector.
Entry requirements NVQ work-based learning programmes are available to all people who have left full-time education and who have at least average GCSE equivalent results. What could be better - getting a qualification and getting paid?
All applicants will be assessed for suitability to complete a hospitality NVQ work based learning program before being offered a place.
What do we offer?
NVQ work-based learning programmes can be undertaken at either foundation or advanced level. Young people starting a foundation apprenticeship often progress to an advanced level that provides them with an excellent grounding for senior management positions such as Hotel Manager.
NVQ
An NVQ is a nationally recognised qualification and its delivery is a mixture of training and then assessment of skills. All assessment and the majority of training is undertaken in the workplace. Gaining an NVQ does not require sitting an exam.
